HONORING THOSE WHO SERVED
All veterans who were discharged under conditions other than dishonorable, including military retirees, are entitled to military funeral honors.
The family should make the request for military honors through the funeral director, who will make appropriate contact with the American Legion and the Department of Defense (DoD).
The dedicated members of Post 304 render military honors at an average of 50 funerals per year for veterans in Central Missouri. Our Post considers it an honor and a privilege to serve the families of deceased veterans.
Each year at our Veteran's Day ceremony at Tipton High School, we pay tribute by recognizing the local veterans who have fallen throughout the year.
Since Veteran’s Day 2025, the American Legion Post 304 Honor Guard has performed military honors for the following deceased veterans:
